London City is by far the best airport in London for business travellers. Shops are limited, but I can show up 30 minutes before my flight and still make it. Security is fast, staff are polite, airport is small, (2 minute walk from the DLR station to the check in desks, 2 minute walk to security, usually 5 minutes to clear security, 2 minute walk to gates) and they do have a good range of food outlets and small stores for essentials. The Wi-Fi is good. There are charge ports everywhere. I fly from LCY most weeks, to all sorts of other airports, and I'm yet to find an airport that suits my needs better than LCY.

Had a bit of a delay getting the buses to the aircraft so we could deboard but other than that it was quick to get through EU immigration and a quick walk from there to the exit. Easy to get to and from the airport via the DLR.

DLR was on strike, so getting to London City was only possible by bus which took over 30 stops or by underground to change which is way to crowded. Check-in was chaotic with little to no signs, but was done within ten minutes. Terminal facilities and shops are poor and wifi is only free for a certain period of time. Not the best airport.

The DLR train connection is quite convenient, and reaching the trains once landed is very easy.
Immigration has e-passports gates, although you reach them through a narrow corridor which is not exactly the best welcome to the UK message.

Excellent location, but terminal has to improve. On international arrival passengers have to walk along a long corridor up to immigration. This corridor is kept in horrible conditions with cables all around and are exposed to kerosene all the way through. Quick security and fast baggage claim, though. I had to wait for some time before leaving the terminal, but no seating was available in the check-in area. I had to buy a drink to sit. All in all a very convenient airport, but facilities should improve.

As I traveller from Australia, I don't get to use this airport often, so it's a treat for me. Straight through customs, friendly staff, no waiting for baggage, up and away on the DLR in no time. Love it! I've only ever arrived here. Maybe next time I'll arrange a departure and see what it's like.

Big improvement since my last visit (many years ago!), found out that using LCY Flight Info (search it on Facebook) will send flight update straight away to my phone so no need to look for departure board in the airport to find out where's the gate that my flight is leaving. Love it!

Western lounge is going through improvement phrase at the moment, so my next visit will be a lot better!

Quick security experience this time. The fastest I've been thru any UK Airport security. Despite the flight being delayed for 2hrs found a good seat to watch out over the runway and taxiway to keep myself entertained, plenty of places to grab food and drink too. Toilets decent and clean. Wifi unlimited and free. Worth noting that nearly all seats had direct access to plugs. Something all other airports would do good to take after.

Waiting lounges always overcrowded and way to hot! A lot of reconstruction is going on and indeed there is a lot to improve!
Customs very unfriendly and impatient towards people that don't speak English very well. And to people who don't understand them right away!

London City Airport is aimed almost directly at the business traveller. As a leisure traveller I felt quite out of my depth!! However it benefits for this as, the airport is so easy to get around. Security was really busy, but moving, and the departures area was quite cramped, but not uncomfortably so. Plenty of places to get food and drink. Signage could be improved on however. Loads of places to sit and watch movements, I spent most of my time sat by gate 1 watching the aircraft come and go. Boarding was from the far end of the western pier. Which is undergoing renovations, so wasn't as nice as it could be potentially been. Waiting to board the flight was in a small room, which was quite dingy, but given the works, acceptable. All in all a pleasant experience which I would recommend.

I love this airport - every city should have one like this. Charming, small (verging on tiny) but efficient. Whenever you land, know that it'll be at the wrong end of that long corridor. Great DLR links to the city.

Really nice airport, short wait for luggage, quick walk to exit. The time from exiting the aircraft and being outside the terminal was around 20 minutes, and we did not rush.

As always a quick and seamless journey through City. Its small size means you can be through immigration and baggage claim and onto the DLR in a matter of minutes. The same for departing and can be airside in a matter of minutes as well. Facilities in departures are more than adequate for the type of traveller that it's designed for. One slight downside is that at the busiest times the lounge can feel overly crowded.

This airport is very convenient to fly in to. I didn't have a chance to fly out of it although my experience flying into it was phenominal. It was very quick and convenient and certainly sounds much better than flying into Heathrow. I highly recommend this airport when flying into London if you have the choice.

Location made me choose to fly to LCY. I had to visit an exhibition at the London ExCeL, which is a 10 minutes walk.
My flight back was delayed with one hour until 7.00pm. Lounges were heavily overcrowded, the heat was almost unbearable. Never been so happy to take my seat in the airconditioned plane!

Efficient and convenient airport that I often use. London City is probably my favourite airport for many reasons. It's quiet, it's small, it's easy to get around, it's fast and has lovely places to eat. Out of over 20 flights of which I have flown from LCY, only 1 was delayed. The delay was 30 minutes and was due to poor weather conditions, which is understandable and wasn't the airport's fault. The best time to fly at London City is early in the morning. Personally, I find it more comfortable in the morning.

Excellent flight - the plane was delayed due to door fault however we made up time in the air! Great service for my first EVER flight with BA!

LCY is an excellent airport - small and quick taxi / take off. Quite steep, but you avoid the hustle and bustle of LHR and even LGW!

Incompetent ground stuff, told it was not possible to get the pram at the connection airport, where we had to stay 3 hours with our 3 months old baby. Only my protest to the second level support resolved this issue.

very good airport, not a great food choice in my opinion and a bit expensive

security was easy to get through

took a bit of used to getting to with it being a 'silent' airport however, there is enough screens around the airport for you to know when your flight boards

Boarding was quick and very effective to get the flight to depart quickly so little time spent during boarding

- LCY is a convenient airport for flights to many European cities with short distances and fast check-in and security control
- We arrived at the worst time of the day with very long queues at UK immigration (only 5 desks for EU passport holders) and no toilets before passport control

Terminal was busy but its an agreeable small airport. Took a BA CityFlyer flight on an Embraer 170 to Dusseldorf. Much better than the Saab 2000 that was on this route. Plenty of space. Comfortable and quiet. Cloudy day so not much to see of the city.

I love this airport, it's small and very easy to navegate. You don't have to walk miles to get to your departure gate and, on landing, the luggage comes through very quickly. It has the added advantage of the Docklands Light Railway being next door.
