Arrived with a few other flights and parked on a remote stand
The bus to terminal had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come and open doors to let us in the terminal

My home airport - i know where everything is and I like it. Plenty of food places - plenty of shops. Good communications - plenty of departure boards. Good sized departure lounges but with the planes getting bigger it was standing room only on our departure. Overall a nice medium sized local airport.

Brilliant airport. The lounge is absolutely fantastic, and surprisingly, Security, Immigration and Customs do not take that long, which is really good. The terminal facilities are just beyond words, as they are really really good. The food at the airport is really nice/good too.

My last trip from Newcastle to Dubai business class. As expected very smooth check-in, fast track through security and had use of the Aspire plus lounge which needs to learn lessons from Changi and Dubai airports plus the BA lounge at Newcastle for service. Arrival back from Dubai was smooth and trouble free.

I still find Newcastle the best airport in the UK to fly out of. Security is very simple to get through, and with the recent transformation of the inside of the terminal and the addition of better facilities it is definitely a great regional airport with amazing choice for the passengers it serves.

Use my local airport a lot for work and holidays. I often compare it with others and it's great, security is tight but human and the facilities in the departure lounge are excellent. Perhaps better location of the departure boards would help but overall a nice place to travel from.

Rubbish variety of shops etc. Long queues everywhere from check-in to security to the toilets. FLY FROM EDINBURGH INSTEAD, it has much much nicer facilities etc. Edinburgh has shorter queues and a nicer and better variety of shops to name a few better things about Edinburgh.

Fantastic airport. Cant beat it at all. Services absolutely great. Always up to my expectations and in some cases go way beyond them.
Security is quick and very prompt. If you havent used the airport I would highly reccomend it to anyone

One of the best airports in the UK for ease of getting through. Friendly staff and wow I love my local airport. Great selection of outlets and also of cafes and a beautiful views comes in at an affordable ?2.50. Love it

Very quick as per usual, friendly, quite quiet as the morning rush was all but over, very nice experience, new extension looking good, kind of proud to call it my local airport again. Not many improvements I can think of except that it definitely needs free wifi, or at least some kind of convenient wifi, didn't use the lounge but walked past the new Aspire Plus lounge and it looks absolutely amazing. Used the Metro to get to the airport and that was also very convenient, less than half an hour from Gateshead, straight into the terminal building. Airport only needs some more long haul routes now, and more convenient EU city routes, hopefully then more people will start picking it over other airports like Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Definitely an airport with potential and I look forward to using the airport again in 2 different capacities, flying on a leisure flight to Rhodes in July and then flying out on Emirates to Dubai on the way to Thailand in August.

The baggage reclaim was the fastest I've ever had, but it was not in the peak time. Maybe 3 minutes after the deboarding has started my bag was already there. The Metro connects the airport with the central station in 24 minutes, wich is ok. I had no queue at the check-in, many staff for only a few passengers. Security check was fast, some passengers were allowed to use the fast lane to increase the efficiency. But I can imagine that there is chaos during peak times.

As it was out of season for Newcastle Airport, the airport was quite quiet with only a few flights scheduled to leave in the afternoon. Security check was pleasant and efficient, and there was a great selection of shops - there were fewer restaurants than during previous visits as part of the terminal was under refurbishment.
DO: check Boots for cheaper drinks too take on-board.

Being my home airport, I could be biased. I have always got through security and immigration without delay. Yes the departure lounge can be busy especially when the 777 is departing in summer. But, much rather Newcastle than Heathrow.

Its OK. Queues can be long for both security and immigration. I have never managed to avoid a long time in departures. Is this a ploy by airport management to add to the huge revenues already created by enormous parking charges?

Good airport but you can wait a long time at immigration control if you happen to arrive at same time as Emirates flight also baggage reclaim can take ages. There appears to be no wi-fi unless in executive lounges.

My local airport, very customer friendly, clean and a hassle free experience for everyone. Would have been 5 star however the main reason it wasnt 5 star is the lack of a viewing area and also the new security area isn't.
