Terminal 1 is horrible.

There is a lack of space to unload an aircraft such as an Airbus 380. Queues at passport control are extremely long and elevators for disabled and families with strollers are scarce, small and slow.

Munchen ist ein sauberer und echt moderner Flughafen (auf jeden Fall das Terminal 2) Man bekommt gratis Zeitschriften und das Boarding lief auch geordnet ab.

If you have to transfer between the terminals you really need at least 30 min time (security, imigration, train). In the October morning it was smooth and fast but during a season it could be a challenge.

Only one Priority pass is in Schengen zone, so it isnt good to use for passenegers arriving from Non Schengen terminal

Terminal 1 of Munich / Franz Josef Strauss airport is old, low amount of shops etc and small, however it was not crowded and lines for security were not more than 5 mins. Also walking to the gate did not take more than 2 minutes.

Immigration was quick! Nice, modern airport with lots of amenities, shops, and cafes. It has a very large duty free shop.

Had critical delay for transfer and found a lady waiting for me (no one else was going to the same destination). She took me in a van to the passport control and then to the other gate so I could board the plane on time. Fantastic.

Terminal 1 (half of the airport not used by Lufthansa) is a disaster. Worst airport experience I got in a while. Overcrowded, disorganized, lacks gates, bad space planning, etc. The list is long. Avoid!

Immer wieder ein toller Flughafen. Gro?zugig, sauber, schnell und strukturiert. Bin einfach gerne hier, egal ob T1 oder T2. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist der offentliche Verkehr, hier halt die Politik seit Jahren schon ihre Versprechen nicht.

I love the Airbrau, good bavarian Food and beers for good german prices. The airport is big, clean and bright. Trainride to the airport is a long long journey. Don't buy tickets from the guy next to the ticketing machine.

Like Frankfurt, passengers are dropped off in the middle of airport (not at the gate) then have to take a shuttle to get to the terminal.

DO NOT TAKE Lufthansa bus to Munich downtown in middle of the day -- traffic is horrible and it took me more than 1 hour and a half to get there. Train is much more reliable. FYI, Munich downtown is not that close from the airport. Even by train, it takes 45 minutes or more.

Always a pleasure to be at MUC airport. Spacey gates, great hospitality and a fast unlimited Wifi. Facilities are modern and useful as well and they keep pushing an outstanding comfort level. Terminal 1 is also about to be renewed within the next couple years, however it's already the most efficient, fast traveling Terminal you can imagine.
If MUC would only have a faster public connection to the city..

This is generally a very nice airport, roomy, stylish, generally nice, but if you are vegan you're doomed. Airside I could not find a single bar/restaurant etc. to get a vegan caffellatte with soy milk. Same with food. Zero to none vegan options. The Starbucks was indicated as 1600 m from my gate.... so I should need to go 3,2 km to get a Soymilk-Latte ???

Really long ways. From deviating to the baggage claim it takes at least 30minutes if you land in terminal 2.
Immigration was slow, as we traveled with kids and couldn?t use the automatic controls.
Even after waiting at the immigrations and for the train the baggage wasn?t on the belt.

Great airport, easily accessible and short distances everywhere despite the vast selection of flights. I don't know a second airport with such a variety of good food and shopping choices everywhere, most of it is reasonably priced even. Only drinking water is too expensive, should bring a standard option like with Christinen in CGN.

The Airport Lounge Europe at Munich Airport is small but very clean and quiet. Good service and well chosen eats and drinks made a 2 1/2 hour stay very pleasant.

Very nice airport! Spacious and clean. Personally I appreciated the smoking lounges near the gate. Food choice in the vicinity of the gate wasn't great and a lot of things closed early in my opinion.

The airport offers free Wifi, butmy mwife tried to use it, but couldn't get a connection. The lounge area is also not that big. Okay, I'm used to AMS, but the boarding area around my gate (D11) seemed very crowded and without much space. Check could have been more efficient, but that's not entirely the airport's fault (one probably gets what the airline pays for).

This was the first time I ended my flight at MUC and was slightly disappointed. It took too long before my luggage arrived, and why mentioning that all baggage have already been delivered when baggage claim didn't even started? Moreover, the baggage claim area was very small (I was in terminal 1). The walk from my baggage claim to the S Bahn was long and making it more fun by the lights is acceptable to small children, it remains very long and boring for adults.

Baggage claim way too small for an A380 full of pax, as people are stuck in immigration, conveyor belt overloads and no further bags can be forwarded, No airport or handling staff present to solve the problem, so passengers have to rearrange and sort other poeples luggage to get to their own bags..very low 3rd world standard!!

Terminal 1 is a mess, there is no info point or counters of airlines. We couldn't get our boarding passes, so eventually we checked-in online (while sitting inside terminal!). Having a flight connection between terminal 1 and 2 is painful.

3 international flights (Emirates A388, Aeroflot A320, Easyjet A319) arrived at the same time in Terminal 1C and with only two passport controllers for each of Europe and international passports it was a very long queue. There was also only one baggage belt for all three flights.
I normally like Munich, but this was a mess.

My home airport and truly the best one on this planet. Airy, Clean, modern, not too much walking, great restaurants, free wifi, flights on time and lots of direct routes to other European countries and the rest of the world. It's well connected to downtown Munich by S-Bahn train (about 40 minutes) and the Lufthansa Express Bus. Waiting time at security control and customs very short.
