Need to pay a supplement of ?3 to access/leave the airport using subway. The are few options in terms of food before security checkpoint.

Flew business on IB from MAD to LHR.

Check-in easy, fast track security a breeze. Getting from check in to gate took longer than the trip from Central Madrid to the airport.

IB Lounge in T4S is great. Trek to gate was 15 minutes from lounge. Boarding disorderly and took 20 minutes.

Nice lounge but very limited choice of food available. Perhaps it was because it was a Sunday but there were no hot dishes available - just sandwiches and salads

The only reason I was here is because the flight stopped there. I was only really supposed to wait for my flight to JFK. It was nice, though.

Terminals 1 and 2 are quite old and dark, but terminals 3 and 4 are simply fantastic, in fact, Terminal 4 is one of the best terminals I've ever flown from and into

Po wyladowaniu w Madrycie na starym terminalu jest zle oznaczenie odbioru bagazy. Duza grupa ludzi wyszla z lotniska bez bagazu, musielismy szukac swojej bramki w ktorej czekaly nasze bagaze. Brak komunikacji na lotnisku po Angielsku jest wielkim problemem.

such a huge airport. If you are connecting you need a lot of time because some gates are miles away from the others. In some cases you check in at one end of the terminal but your gate is on the other end of that terminal and the walks can be about 20 minutes or more

Regarding terminal 4 it takes fair amount of leg work if you are flying oput of 4S. Escalators + train + further escalators as well as long walk. Come with plenty of time

Terrible Security Control. I transport stemmcells which are a lifesaving medicine and they cannot be x-rayed.
Very incompetent security, police and AENA staff nearly made me miss my connection

Terminal 4 and 4S are really impressive, not like the old rusty T1, T2 and T3. Its a bit uncomfortable but there are enough Food and retail services. The WiFi is decent but by far not the best. Almost anyone working at the airport speaks English properly and they just speak Spanish.

Madrid Barajas ( terminal 4 and 4s) is a really nice airport, the big windows let in a lot of natural light. I transfrered from terminal 4 to terminal 4s and the security check was very quick and smooth. Both terminals feel really nice, although most shops and restaurants are in terminal 4. The directions in the airport in T4 are printed on the floor which is very unusual.

Especially T4 is an amazing place, nice design and thought through. Connecting to T2 by bus is a bit cumbersome, the terminal is also not as nice and dark.

Great airport, on the Madrid metro system, Terminal 4 has an amazing architectural design, however if you're in the satellite terminal you have to take a train which takes time, tho is way quicker than the equivalent in Heathrow. Some good facilities and nice staff, could be signposted a little better...

Got my toothpaste thrown away by security for being in non-transparent container. WTF?! Other than that, everything is good - and food and WiFi are excellent.

This is the old terminal and feels its age. It is suitable and bearable. I did enjoy the glider and model of the aiport, the kid playground must be fun -for them.

For avgeeks it does have good views of the runways.

Worst large airport experience! Disorganised check in - boarding pass and check in person advised it was Terminal S - went there to discover it was the main terminal - only way back was as transit passenger so had to do security again. Very poor and confusing signage, unhelpful staff. No powerpoints in gate areas. Could not find non-Iberia business class lounge. Building looks beautiful but this is the worst organised airport I have ever experienced.

The security check in this place was absolutely awful, they treated us very badly. Traveling with a small baby who did not get to sleep at all during the flight from Chile and only fell asleep when we land I did not wanted to wake her, and security was really nasty about it and did not let us pass with her in the pram. I thought this was quite silly since still we would have to pass through the screening gate, so what was the problem. Anyhow after that we got every bag checked. Very bad experience as in comparison with other contries.

What a mess both inside and out
you walk for miles to find the car rental place from arrivals. ONce you get your car the road layout is confusing at best

Impresentable atencion al cliente. El vuelo ni siquiera aparecia en los monitores y las empleadas de informacion nos mandaron a paseo. Solo un guardia civil nos atendio decentemente. El vuelo salio finalmente con mas de 2 horas de retraso despues de cambiar la puerta de embarque 2 veces.

Terminal 2 in bad shape. Almost no AC power plugs. Toilets in very bad condition and by far not enough of them. Signage is a mess too.

The flight arrived to Terminal two. One hours walk within all departure flights with no proper sign to find way out until reaching to car rental desk in Terminal 1 arrival hall.
Have been several time at Terminal 4 but if your destination is Madrid then it will be paint full to find way out from T2 where Norwegian flies.
