Very good airport, had no probs there. Queue was long, but staff worked very quickly and we had no problems. Airport is very tricky by itself but that's no problem. Enjoyed time there. Not sure about the WI-FI though, haven't tryed it.

Now that construction works have finished in the main departures area, the whole airport experience is much, much more favourable. Plenty of seating areas, loads of shops, eateries, and even a small duty free shop, in addition to the seemingly miles of duty free you have to walk through after security.

There are however still a few negatives. Very few charging points for electronic devices, and very poor views of airfield operations. (The latter is greatly increased once your gate is announced). I am still finding it difficult to tell members of staff apart from other travellers!! All in all though, a great little airport, but further expansion, particularly of the departures area, would be great, however, with Stansteds main customer being Ryanair, I doubt this will be happening any time soon.

Very nice airport, was easy and cheap to get to by train especially because we booked 30 days in advance! We didn't have to wait at all to check in, security took around 15 min, there were not a lot of shops but they were rebuilding so its understandable, the WiFi was fine and the were just enough seating in the terminal but the train that takes you to the gate needs more space! Overall a good airport 9/10 would Stansted again.

nice and good looking airport. cant say a bad word about it. quick and easy. it had a good view of the runway to watch planes take off and land. loads of shops. but there is a pub/restaurant that doesnt do great food i would avoid it.

After landing helpful staff. I waited only five minutes for my baggage, toilets are clean, restaurants and shops are very busy, but there are nice souvenirs and tasty food, the best was sushi. Great airport!

Well, not my favourite airport. At all. It was easy to find and check-in was hassle free as well, and the automated security scanners where fine, but then things got wrong. The queue for the security scanners were enormous. Okay, every airport can be busy, but only 3-4 lines were open out of a possible 20 (I think). There was a lot of shopping and eating places to be found, but it is very poorly distributed, which means queues. Lots of them.

The airport is too far from any part of London.
I had to drink the whole water bottle before going to the security check, so make sure your bottle is not too filled (there's a fountain in the bathrooms that fills them with cold water).

If it wasn't such a mission to get too (the other side of London), I'd love it more. But everything is made effortless, especially as the majority of people traffic are frequent travellers, security is speedy.

Plenty of options in Duty Free for shopping and eating.

Everything at Stansted was fine, although it was the day of the bus fire so we were delayed getting our coach home. Flight departed Prague and arrived at Stansted on time although we were one of the last flights to arrive at Stansted and not be diverted.

Through security in hardly any time at all for a mid-afternoon flight. Noticed as well that charging points are now provided in the departures area. Red seats like rectangles provided on the far side of the hall as you enter from duty free, a nice and welcome touch. Wifi don't seem to want to work any more now though.

The past occasions I've used Stansted has been mid-afternoon or evening flights, where the airport is a lot quieter, however this occasion was a early morning flight, and as expected, was very busy indeed in security, then follows the meander thru duty free to the departures area. Mercifully Weatherspoons was fairly quiet, nice place to enjoy breakfast and while away the time before your boarding gate is announced.

My return wasn't so smooth, with everyone ushered to the automatic passport gates military style, and only about 10 out of 30(!!) of them working. We were all frog marched through endless queing lanes before being told which gate to stand at. Thankfully the E-Gates seemed more effective than other E-gates ive had the misfortune to use before.

So nice! Great! Easy to find everything what you need, but crowd is normal on that big airport. For everything what you want you just must follow the arrows. Security is fast, but you have a little time to go on your gate, so be careful, when you see the number of your gate, go there instantly.

Compared to Gatwick Stansted staff are great, my wife is disabled and the staff are very helpful.
The services and shops are plentiful.
Stansted is easy to for finding your way to the gates and the trains to the gates run every couple of minutes.

Another great airport. Really like what they have done with the place and its very easy with the transit to get to the gate. Also time flies at stansted so i always arrive at least 2/3 hours prior to my flight.

Same old Stansted really. Busy security in the mornings, with not enough lanes open, and upon return, queuing for customs, but now all EU and UK residents are forced to use the automatic gates, of which there are 30, but over half are always out of use!

Arrive by public transport or use one of the car parks. Short stay outside terminal very expensive. Jet Parks/Longstay car parks cheapest with free bus to terminal. AVOID MEET AND GREET AT ALL COSTS. They have such a bad reputation. During busy times, terminal is very busy often running out of seating. Restaurants get packed too as does the lounge. Sine age to gates not brilliant. If you want gates 40-59 and gates 81-88, do not get on the transit. You must walk to thes3 gates. The lounge is always busy often showing ?lounge at capacity? signs so make sure you book. Immigration is really bad at times due to staffing levels and automated visa checking machine that malfunction. Again due to staffing levels, baggage reclaim is appalling. All this should improve when the new facilities are in place in early 2019.

Nice and really good looking airport, most flight from here are ryanair flights, and like for cheap airport this look very cool and fancy. I expect very bad airport like on other airports where mostly flights are only ryanair flights. Very recommend!

I cannot see why all the negativity about this airport. I travel regularly in and out. I know it?s going to be busy so I make sure I arrive in good time. I make sure I pack my luggage correctly to clear security. I know the terminal will be busy due to sheer volume of passengers, so I use the Escape Lounge. Not everyone wants to go to the expense of that so you may have to put up with a wait for a seat at restaurants and other eateries. I keep an eye on the screens and when my gate is announced, I make my way to the gate immediately making sure I?m going to the correct gate as per my flight number and not the destination. It all works well and have never had any problem.

The airport i use the most, but avoid the car parking. It is very, very expensive. Use public transport if you can. As alot of flights leave between 0700-0900, the whole airport is very busy early morning, so queues for pretty much everything are to be expected, despite this, there always seems to be only 75% of the x-ray lines working, which seems a bit counter productive.

Seating area before the gates are announced is very crowded, mostly due to construction work, and good luck getting into any of the shops/cafes and even the toilets. Im still not sure i have seen any Airport Staff in the pre-departures area!

Anyway, if you ignore the crowds, plenty of places to buy food and drink, if you're willing to queue for a while, and I've never been able to get the Wifi to work, but 3/4G coverage is fine so you can still entertain yourself whilst waiting for the gates to be announced.

My wife is disabled and we find that Stansted air assistance staff are much better than Gatwick, The improvements being made are superb not only for the disabled but also for all passengers. I cannot comment on Wi-Fi as I do not use it. But the facilities are now vastly improved the only drawback is the drop off point for passengers especially for the disabled.

Great airport with good facilities. At night, a lot of shops are closed though and a lot of the airport is under construction. There are a lot of varieties of food and retails which was very good. Also, baggage was quite fast. At Stansted, a bonus is there is a 24/7 taxi service there which is fast and quite cheap. Overall, 4/5. Just some improvements for opening times and construction work. Just a tip though, check-in at Stansted is normally packed, so you might want to arrive a bit early.
