Frankfurt just became a mess with the security checks.
The general flair is cold, stone cold. When you leave the pain all you see it endless footpaths and empty ugly walls

Terminal 2 in Frankfurt is quite a bit below the standard of T1.

The security check is a joke and even worse than in T1 - way too few lanes open and unfriendly staff. The friendliness is the same in T1, but at least they usually have sufficient lanes open.

Food services don't open early in the morning, so if you depart before 8am you better be prepared on your own.

Very messy airport. Chaos and bad signage. If you need to go from part B to C or A in the same terminal you sometimes need to get twice through paszport and se urity. Long ways.

Like a well-oiled machine, FRA just works. Simple and efficient process at security, staffed by genuine humans who are pleasant and helpful.

Big and sprawling but efficient and easy to navigate. Staff are friendly and eager to help. Passport control was fast, even for non EU citizens. Baggage took a while though!

Stayed at Hilton airport hotel, so quick 10 min walk to terminal. Finding check-in counter was a little confusing and the agents were incredibly slow.

Die unfreundlichsten, arrogantesten Angestellten beim Sicherheitscheck vor Terminal A die ich je irgendwo auf der Welt bei meinen Flugen erlebt habe. Unglaublich! Hier fehlt es ganz offensichtlich an kompetenter Ausbildung auf der mitmenschlichen Seite. Das machen Security-Leute in USA, CAN,GB, A, F, NZ, AUS, SIN usw mit gro0em Abstand besser. Und die Sicherheit leidet deshalb nicht, wenn man freundlich ist.

Nearly ever trip I ever took involving FRA has been a transfer. It is a bit confusing and some long hikes but the facilities are great. The Senator's Lounge for SA Gold is fantastic.

Line at security was unaccaptably long. My watch got broken during security check. Staff was rude and unhelpful

Baggage took a long time to be collected even though we were 1 of only 2 arriving flights in that terminal. All baggage trolleys cost money to be used and you cannot pay except with credit card as none of them take cash. There was only one passport control employee and he was slow and moody. He told me at one point I don't care if you stand here and wait for an hour after he told me that he has a problem in his system which is taking too long to process. Only the lounge was smallest but nice.

Be careful when changing the terminals (from 2 to 1). The easiest way is using the SkyLine. But when you watch only letter of gate and arrows, you can get out the terminal and then you have to use the bus. And you lost 15-30 min.

Baggage claim waiting time is far below industry standard. If you Hand over your baggage at the checking counter instead of taking it into the cabin, you will still wait at the arrival baggage belt when others are already on the highway

Bus transfer between terminal 1 and 2 is a pain in the XXX. Baggage claim takes ages due to undersized baggage conveyor belt.

Horrible airport. Connection from gate C16 to A30 horrible: kilometres of corridors + exit to the the public area + unnecessary skyttain + new luggage inspection (why ? I was connecting !) that lasted more than 30 minutes because only 1 X-ray and slow and non efficient airport personnel. I had walk over other passengers who were kind enough to let me pass them and had to run like hell to reach A30.

FRA never any more and if LH has no connection alternative them no LH

The Terminal 1 was not too crowded and the immigration/customs were really fast although there was no electronic security check like in Terminal 2. The toilets could?ve been cleaner and the baggage claim faster though so I give this airport 4 4 stars

Recent weeks security check is very slow and inefficient, officers are unpolite.
Although there are flights until late in the night, many food and drink places close at 10 pm or earlier - not a plus for an airport such as FRA.

Connecting through Frankfurt can sometimes really be a pain - we arrived over half an hour late and, according to the airport screens, we just had about 20 minutes to get from one end of the airport to the other. As we arrived at the gate, certainly out of breath, we just heard that the flight crew is about to change which will take a couple more minutes. Could they have announced it on the screens - yes - did they - nope.

Nice Airport with everything you need. The new security lanes at Terminal 1A are improving the very bad situation ar the security checks. Automatic passport control avoids long lanes. Everything clean and a well working WiFi. The long bus drives when parking on an apron position are a disadvantage

Many people missed the flight because of huge delays on security check. It is a bad idea to have 3 security check with 3 stands for 4 gates with 4 flights at the same time...
