If you have an old photo in your passport, you will be queued for 40 minutes. The fact is that at the airport of Ben Gureon installed biometric machines for customs control. You need to take off your glasses, a hat, etc. You will be photographed and will be given an exit visa. BUT if you have a old photo and the computer couldn?t recognize you... Then you have to stand in the queued for 40 minutes to get to the live customs officer. That is, ONLY ONE CUSTOMS WORKS for the entire departure area !!!

After an interview immigration tells you'll get your passport in a few minutes and they keep you waiting in a small room for over an hour. Not pleasant welcome experience.

Please plan at least 3 hours form Tel Aviv City to the airport. The security check is chaotic and uses much time.

I really like this airport, This airport is very big with a lot of parking lot, and parking for airplanes. It has 2 terminals, terminal 1, and terminal 3, the terminal 2 is using currently as the cargo terminal. This airport have free wifi, and a lot of lounges. Also, there are a lot of shops and a lot of places to seat.The check in and security was very fast.

I know safety reason etc but please make this security better. Line for business, line for infants etc. Right now is super mess before interview. No transport in shabat. Terrible DAN longue. Worh maybe 5 usd for entrance

Terminal 1 on Ben Gurion is used mainly for low cost flights. It's a bit crowded, noisy and no jetways (only buses).

If you want to be treated like sheep,TLV is for you. Hour-long queues, poor shops and very little to do.
I use this airport because I have to for work. Why anyone would choose to subject themselves to it is beyond me.

It's a great airport, but the lines can get really long when arriving, especially if you do not have an Israeli biometric passport. For departures, a lot of security as one might expect but if you are leaving from Terminal three there is a lot to do. The BA lounge is okay, the Dan one is much better. Terminal 1 is quite boring and you can not even watch planes from the window really.

Its my home airport. From Jerusalem you can reach it by Bus no. 485, near the central bus station. goes every hour, on the dot.. like 12pm, 1pm etc. on fridays due to jewish rest day beginning on friday night, the last bus goes at 2pm and restarts service on saturday night at 8pm or such. good and cheap ride. 16 shekel =

The connection from city center is excellent even though the airport is located 19 km from Tel Aviv. I've read a lot of negative comments about security checks, but it was pretty fine and quick in my case (it took only about 30 min.). Our flight (with Wizzair) departed from Terminal 1 (used for domestic and low-cost flights) which wasn't opened over the night. We found this out together with a lot of other people after the arrival from main terminal and we needed to wait outside (or we could use bus back to the main terminal). There was no info on the website, no warning in the bus or anywhere else on the airport that terminal is closed. But other than this small inconvenience, it was really nice experience.

Too much security and stupid questions for nothing... you are already check at the entrance no need for all this non sense

Otherwise nice airport, good facilities and clean, the borns to get your boarding pass are efficient and the personnel is overall quite nice

Very easy get to the airport. I could bypass the kilometric queue of the security because I was flying in business.... Not all the members of the staff of the security are kinds. The Dan lounge was very busy and offering very poor food

The airport is a excellent and modern airport. It has a good transport connection to Tel Aviv and other cities in Israel with trains, taxi`s and share taxi`s (moniot), but I think the best way to get there in on train (although trains are not operating on Saturdays and Friday evenings). Terminal 3 facilities are very good, there are quees before baggage security checkes before the check-in desks, but they are pass quickly so this is not a problem, the passport control and security checks are queek and good, with no problems. The retail facilities in the terminal are excellent and there are a big duty-free shop, caffes, Mac`donalds and some more shops.
Terminal 1 of the airport is smaller than the main terminal 3, but it`s good for international passengers departing from. The baggage security before check-in desks is a fast process and the passport control and hand luggage security are also very fast. After you pass the security and check-in processes there is a shuttle to terminal 3 reatil facilities and boarding gates, so I enjoyed the retail facilities and the duty-free shops of terminal 3.
The shuttle service between the terminal 3 and the rail station alongside and between terminal 1 is fast and you don`t need to wait many time.

Be aware of custom service. don't even try to take a pictures inside of terminal... they can start bugging u with tons of questions trying to find something that does not exist... U can be easily sent to double control... be prepared) trust me, u will be really happy to leave that airport

Prefer this airport over many other I've been to. Talks I hear about security being nasty is rubbish. If you answer correctly to their profiling questions, you won't be bothered. If you try to be a wise-guy, prepare for a full search. Other than that, great airport, speedy process from arrival to Duty Free and gates. 95% of the flights use connecting bridges, and not bus rides. Duty free is OK, not cheaper than any others I've been to. Food offering is OK but a bit expensive (still, airport prices) but the terminal is not big so you don't get lost. They are now building another concourse (E), which will also allow A380 to park. Neat!

Tel Aviv is an incredibly modern and efficient airport. The staff are consistently extremely friendly and helpful, second to none in other airports. Security is better than any other airport. It's a pleasure to wait in the main departures hub. The waterfall is a very soothing feature that lets you forget that you're in a busy stuffy airport.

A terrible security check to El Al flights. This very confuse especially in 3 a.m. Security officers ask personal questions that the shouldn't ask, by my opinion. Also they opened my bag in the baggage and checked everything in my cabbing baggage. That's not bad, but it's too much. Also a big queues in duty free. But Overall terminal 3 is not bad at all.

I liked that even though the passport control officers have different lines for citizens and not citizens, this time we were served by all officers and the queue was moving fast. I wasn't interrogated much on arrival but on departure I was made to go through a thorough baggage check-pretty humiliating, I mus say, but I understand it's their job.

Terminal 1 for the low-cost airlines is an absolute joke. We arrived 5 hours before departure and we barely made it to the gate on time, due to very extensive and useless security measures. They think every passenger is a criminal. Worst airport ever
