Overall a pretty good airport. Has its flaws but it gets the job done. Security lines can be long at times and terminal 4 can get pretty busy at times on the Southwest and US Airways sides, especially during the US connecting banks. Connections are relatively easy to make however if you're transferring from express to mainline on US Airways you can expect some walking. Food is decent with quite a few options before and after security. During peak departure times you can expect some delays taxiing.

The internet connection is mind blowing. It is as fast as 4G and has no bandwidth constraints. As a result, all the pictures that I was trying to upload in the tour album since DRO airport got finally uploaded at PHX airport within a few seconds. Ate at a McD that did not have a sitting area. It was easy to board a walkalator to switch terminals.

April 2014 - Arrived in on the BA flight from Heathrow and had to queue for an hour to get through immigration, even though there were only passengers from this flight queuing. Long walk to the car-rental shuttle and poor signposting, although at least there were some helpful staff.

Sky Harbor is a decent place to change planes - everything is fairly efficient here. Be aware of possible long walks between gates in T4. There didn't seem to be many places selling fresh food, sandwiches etc.

Cramped and old. Few airside concessions. Slow security line due to closed lanes. Good windows for plane spotting, though.

Try Bar fly, one of the better places to eat at PHX, whick doesnt say much because it's all pretty bad...sorry Phoenix it just is...........
