Good as always! Fast way from the train station to Checkin and Security Check. Sec. Check in T1 is this new Easy Control thing, which works good for people who know how to travel by plane. For people who dont travel that much, its a bit confusing I guess. Big Duty Free area with a lot of shops, but very expensive. Enough seats for everybody and it was very clean.

Chaotisch beim Check-In, der Wartebereich ab Gate ist viel zu klein. Toiletten miserabel... Snacks und Getranke vollig uberteuert. Und das pappige Brotchen schmeckte auch nicht.

Still remains one of my favourite airports I've used in the world so far. Even if you are not an aviation enthusiast you must visit the Visitors Terrace, one of the best in Europe.
However there are two things that bug me about CGN.
1) Lack of shops Airside. Plenty of duty free, but, (in the non-schengen area at least) very poor, and very expensive places. I would highly recommend visiting the Restaurant opposite the Rewe Supermarket, before security.
2) A long walk from Terminal 1 to the Railway Station. Not a lot they can do about that though!
Everything else about the Airport is fine. Plenty of toilets, seats, and security is always good.

Getting there: perfectly connected to Bonn and Cologne (wide selection of busses and trains) + high-speed ICE at up to 300km/h directly linking the airport to Cologne, Frankfurt and even Berlin or Munich.
Facilities: all you need and even more, including a HARIBO-shop and a great spotter-terrace.
WiFi: stable and free and fast
Food and retail: all you need and some extras on top. Love the StaV pub
Lounge: Lufthansa, Air Berlin ... the standards and standard.
Immgration: always super fast
Baggage: same: fast and straight forward.
Facilities: all you need and even more, including a HARIBO-shop and a great spotter-terrace.
WiFi: stable and free and fast
Food and retail: all you need and some extras on top. Love the StaV pub
Lounge: Lufthansa, Air Berlin ... the standards and standard.
Immgration: always super fast

Very fast way from gate to the exit. CGN is my homebase and i love it to fly from Cologne! Because it was a flight in my country, i hadnt to show my passport. It took only 30 seconds from plane to exit.

Cologne is very nice, clean and fast airport. Security check was fast and the staff was friendly. I used the technical check in which was very comfortable.

45 minutes waiting for bagage! Very expensive parking, not logical signs, no working escalators! Worst airport I have ever been.

Terminal 2 is the modern, functional one, where also non-Shengen flights depart, whereas Terminal 1 is the 1970s-style (though mondernised) part of the airport, where Lufthansa's lounge offers slightly above standard amenities. Recommendable aiport for short distances, good services, all-you-need food and retail services (including a 24/7 all year round REWE supermarket right between T1 and T2) and if given the choice between Dusseldorf and Cologne to be preferred for exactly this at any cost and any time!
Don't miss: HARIBO-shop next to the supermarket, outside security checks.

Had a pretty poor experience on this trip, as we couldn't access our waiting lounge until the border security officer opened the customs desk, which they didn't do until around 40 minutes before departure, leaving a large number of passengers standing around with nowhere to go for almost an hour.

Such an easy airport to get around. Very spacious, clean and fresh feeling. Infact the only problem i can find with the place is a long walk too and from the Railway Station.

Vom EW-CI in B zum LH-CI in C geschickt. LH-CI schickt weiter zum EW-CI in C. Hier kann nur der BP fur das erste Segment EW ausgedruckt werden, obwohl das gesamte Routing auf der LH-Website gebucht wurde. Wieder zuruck zu den B-Gates. Gate B73 liegt versteckt unmittelbar vor der Passkontrolle.

Long way from train station to security T1C but very short queue at security check and friendly staff. The toilets weren't easy to find due to a lack of signs. Short train ride from the city centre to the airport.

I think this airport is due a re-structuring. I couldn't really tell where I was going and some of the signs were very misleading.
It does have a very modern train station adjacent to it, though.
I almost didn't make it on time because it was too tricky to find my actual gate. That should be improved.

So far, the best airport i have used. Very helpful staff, clean and fresh looking airport, only problem i have found is the lack of variety for refreshments airside, but plenty landside. What excels about this airprot is the security checks, so far i have not had to queue above 5 minutes to go through, and each time i have had a laugh and a joke with the staff. Wifi free and fast, and i must recommend the viewing terrace between the terminals. Excellent view of the whole airport.

Fast way through security and even faster to the plane in terminal 2. There are enough fast food restaurants and shops and public transport to cologne is fast and cheap. Negative: lots of stairs to get to the terminal when arriving by train.

A/C Delayed was to be flown by A320-200 DAIPY which went Tech just before Boarding at 1455, due to fault on Air Conditioning. Aircraft replace with A320-200 DAIPZ, flight delayed by 2 Hous.
Flight made up some time. As compensation in flight free hot and cold drinks were served to passengers. This is the first time I have encountered a delay on German Wings in ten flights I have made with them. A very good budget airline.

The airport looks new and clean, designed for business travelers.
It is efficient and the fast delivery of baggage makes you arrival less stressful.
Departure:

Era sa pierdem avionul. Am luat taxiul cu Horia... trenul cu care am ajuns la Koln a intarziat o ora, am plecat la 9 din Hamburg. HKX pe care am platit 18 euro... reamintesc dus-intors cu avionul a fost 20 de euro !!!

Needs long time for Check-in, but security staff was friendly and funny. Food and drinks are expensive. Airport was clean and has a good atmosphere.
Boarding started on time.
When I came back to CGN, luggage came very fast (10 minutes).
Parking at the airport is cheap if you book your ticket online early before flight.

Nice regional airport with short walking distances and fast security checks. It usually takes about 10 minutes from the moment when I get out of the train until I reach my gate! The free Wifi is a great bonus too!

Had to pay for a little seethrough bag. Signs sent us the long way around to get to the terminal and gate. Airbridges connecting gates to the planes. Wifi worked very well, I was able to book a hotel at my destination using it.

The terminal is clean and spacious. Too much glass everywhere. Rather dull place to spend much time. Utilitarian and practical. Getting there by train from the city is easy on the S13. Food is basic.

Standig funktionieren die Rolltreppen an diesem besch... Terminal 2 nicht. Mussen ja nur 3 Stockwerke nach unten gegangen werden. Was fur ein bescheidener Flughafen!
