Maybe one of the worst airport I ever travelled. First of all to get in the airport it is quite complicated. There is so much traffic in Kathmandu. Moreover you have to be there at least 3-4 hours before as you never know how many people will be there. You need to pass from immagration, fill a form and then wait and wait and wait. Secuirity is very loose. No WiFi. In general the airport was dirty. Toilets smelled and feeled very bad. Waiting area had two normal LCD TV with english documentaries. Thats all. If there are many flights you will spend your time waiting in lines, otherwise you will get bored as it is a small airport.

The airport is incredibly easy to get to -- just make sure you haggle the cab fare ahead of time and don't pay more than NPR500.

Once you arrive at the domestic terminal, don't be shocked to see something that resembles a cross between a prison and bus depot. It's not fancy at all, and has the vibe of an early morning crowded meat market.

Flights are frequently delayed and canceled, but the persistent and early bird gets the worm. Patience and luck are the two most important qualities.

Security is a joke, as the staff will just sort of make a swipe at you -- their pat down -- and only ask if you have weapons or explodeables on you.

Although Tribhuvan Int. Airport is old, It is very good. friendlhy staff, brilliant duty free, comforable seating, and etc.... If you all are planning to visit Nepal, i suggest you all to use tribhuvan int arport as the gateway to nepal....
